Background
Deformational plagiocephaly, and brachycephaly
There are two types of deformation of the baby’s head shape: one caused by a congenital disease called craniosynostosis and the other by positional cranial deformation caused by habit of turning around. Craniosynostosis prevents the skull from growing normally and the brain from enlarging, thus affecting neurodevelopment. On the other hand, positional cranial deformation (plagiocephaly or brachycephaly), which is caused by habit of turning around, do not affect neurodevelopment. If the degree of distortion is severe, it is difficult to improve spontaneously with tummy time or positional changes alone. Positional cranial deformation is also primarily a “physical appearance” problem, but if the effect on the facial bones and the left-right difference in the face is severe, problems with bite of the teeth and difficulty wearing glasses may occur. In the case of moderate or heigher cases, cranial remolding helmet therapy can be used.

If you wish to consult or request for cranial remolding helmet therapy, you will be asked to come to the clinic after the chat or e-mail. 3D camera will be used to evaluate the specific degree (mild, moderate, or severe) and then we will discuss the future.
If you don’t have your own car, or worry about using a car because your baby is too young, we will visit you and evaluate with a 3D camera at your home.
After the helmet is made, you can communicate with us daily via LINE or mail, and we can resolve any concerns you may have at any time.

If your baby is too young to drive your own car, we will visit your home and take pictures with a 3D camera.
